Shed update.

Saturday afternoon, Dad went to a friend's anniversary celebration in Mt. Vernon. The kid kept working and got a lot of siding up, the roof tacked on, and the ramp done.

"The Shed" Now a Major Motion Picture.

Dad holding one end of the board.

Dad laughing while he holds the board, and the youngster hammers.

Here are the windows and doors Dad bought at the RE Store, where they sell salvaged building materials. Dad bought the siding there too, and maybe other stuff.

Here's where Dad can sit and make sure the kid does it all right.

This summer, Dad started a project: to build a shed with a door big enough that he can drive his lawnmower in with the catcher attached. Putting on and taking off the catcher is a bother. So that doorway is the key to it all.

Fortunately for Dad, since this turned out to be a bigger project than he foresaw, he has received some (a lot) of help with this project. His grandson-in-law is doing some (almost all) of the work. Dad helps.

Father's Day.

Dad's presents: Tawny port, three kinds of cheese, and a summer sausage.

Dad's granddog was intrigued by the gifts. (Excuse the camera strap.)

Even after we shooed him away, he still was very interested in the food on the coffee table. So we put the food away.

Father's Day.

It was Dad's day, so we watched baseball. Here's Ichiro the stupendous Mariner. Mariners won!

James watching the game.

Dad talking to Mom, who's on the East Coast. She left a Father's Dad card for Jan to give Dad.

Father's Day lunch!

Barbecued salmon. Are you jealous? Looks great, doesn't it?

The table with some of the food on it.
